HIP HOP & EDM
This is a track I made during my first semester. The vocals are from Splice and were only ment as a place holder for eventual original vocals.
„Come Alive“ is a track that reflects my beginnings in music production. I started out originally making „heavy“ EDM songs, but my love for creating quickly grew into much more than the wish to make Bass Music.
This is the very first proper Hip Hop beat I have made, hence the name.
LO-FI ALBUM WIP’s
Together with a friend from music school I am planning to put out my debut Lo-Fi Hip Hop Album. It has been in the works since Mid-August and almost done. We are planning to release it towards the end of the year. Below you can find some of the Tracks, that I have contributed. In a surge of creativity I wrote 8 Tracks in less than a week and polished and mixed them for the next months.
Nice 3 is the third beat I wrote for the album. It is supposed to reflect the feeling you get after a productive week, on a Sunday evening after a hot summer day, when you just sit down, hear the birds chirping, have your partner next to you and life just seems perfect.
Nice 6 is the 6th song written for the album. It shows a feeling I had sometimes in middle school, when I would spend the whole afternoon playing video games, while it was gloomy outside and rain was pouring. It is a feeling I love to this day and enjoy a lot. Sadly, I can only enjoy it very rarely these days, which makes it even more special.
Unfortunately, life is not always perfect. Nice 9 is inspired by the way people live their lives. It turned out to be a little darker than the rest and, as I think, a little bitter sweet, with its almost dramatic chords. It is supposed to reflect the inner tensions and longings that many have, to be free and able to just enjoy life and the beauty of it.
MIXING DEMOS
This is a mixdown I have created in music school. It took me about 12 hours to complete. I have created it to challenge myself to make a high-value stereo mix as quickly as possible and since I had the stems lying around for an assignment, which was to create a Dolby Atmos mix, I went straight ahead.
„Devils Words“ is a mixing exercise as well. I found the stems on the internet (https://shorturl.at/hliV5) and I liked the track and decided to give it a shot. It took me roughly 4 hours to finish it. It was also the first time I ever touched the Rock genre.
This is the most recent mixdown I made. The stems are from the same website (https://shorturl.at/hliV5) where I found „Devils Words“. It took me roughly 4 hours as well.
Work in progress projects
This is, like „Come Alive“ another tribute to heavy electronic music. It has been in the works for about half a year now and is almost done, though it still needs some writing and mixing. The main inspiration was „Heaven“ by Blanke, hence the name „Blank“. Since I have been enjoying Tearout Dubstep a lot in high school I wanted to make it grittier and heavier than „Heaven“, while keeping the melodic parts and overall vibe.
„Not Trench“ is something that came to my mind very unexpectedly, since I do not consume Techno. It is the newest of my projects. The idea has been triggered by the vocal, which comes in about halfway through. I found it on Splice as well. The plan is to work on it more with a friend from music school.
This Track was inspired by the recent wave of melodic Techno, such as „Vois sur ton chemin“ by BENNETT.
A short Psy-Trance / EDM-Pop beat, which has been collecting dust recently. I will eventually finish it, once inspiration strikes again.
